And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Lord, today we are asking You to equip us, prepare our hearts and minds to receive the last-days outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We do believe in Your promises for great works to be done through Your sons and Your daughters. Unite us in mission and vision to finish all that is in Your heart and mind. Move us together like a mighty army across this land to minister to the hurting, to bring hope to the hopeless, to bind up the wounds of the injured. Raise up young men and women for Kingdom work. Turn the hearts of the children back to their fathers, so mentoring can take place. Let those who are more mature, come alongside those who are growing and undergird and strengthen them. Help us, Lord, to be in one mind and one accord. Help us, Lord, to be one with You as You are one with the Father. Help us in our International General Assembly to be guided by Your Holy Spirit in all elections, appointments, and decisions with a spirit of wisdom and humility. We pray this in Jesus’ name.
