Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things (NKJV).
Father, we praise You for every man, woman, and child who has gone before us. We praise Your name for the ways in which You led them through hard times so that they could show us the way. We praise You for those serving in our churches today. For every staff member, for every lay person serving in ministry in churches, in secular jobs and in our homes all over this world. We praise You for every missionary You have called to leave the comforts of homes and families to go to a foreign land. We praise You for the foreign peoples You have brought to our doorsteps, those saved that they might join with us, for those lost that we might show You to them. We praise You, Father, for every state and national team You, Lord, have brought together. We praise You for the lives already affected through Your Word and those that are yet to be reached. Let us see through Your eyes, Lord. Let the breath of praise bring life into dead, hopeless situations. We bless Your holy name. Amen.
