Praying Is Praising God
When we pray, we enter into His “gates with thanksgiving” (Psalm 100:4), but it is with praise that we press closer into the courts of His presence. Thanksgiving is often our expression to God for what He has already done for us and others. When we praise God, we are expressing adoration toward Him for who He is, and sometimes for what we believe He is going to do in the future. We can praise Him for who He is when we read the Word of God and spend time with Him in prayer.
My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise (NKJV).
Father, while we were yet sinners You freely gave salvation and healing to us. You tell us in Your Word that You have plans for us. You bring us peace in a lost and hurting world. You keep us in prevailing unity through Your Word. Your Holy Spirit walks with us and You never leave us nor forsake us. We love You Lord and we sing out praises to You in the good times and the not so good times, because we know You are with us! Amen.
