1 Timothy 2:1-3

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.

Almighty God, we can do nothing apart from You. We acknowledge that our leaders both secular and, in the church, absolutely need Your divine guidance and wisdom that they may rule well. We know it is pleasing to You that we intercede for our leaders. We thank You for them and fervently ask that You help them and that Your Holy Spirit will always be the true divine administrator of Your bride—the Church.

Acts 8:15-18

Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)  Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money.

Lord Jesus, just as intercessors prayed for the power of the Holy Spirit to come in the early days of the church, so we sincerely ask You to send Your power yet again to a new and emerging generation of Pentecostal believers. You said to us through the prophet Joel that You would pour out Your Spirit upon Your sons and daughters . . . and so today we stand on that prophetic promise and seek You for Your Holy Spirit once again to empower Your Church. We pray for a Pentecostal revival upon both the “Jeremiah Generation” and upon the entire Church of God. Come Holy Spirit!

2 Corinthians 5:18

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.

Dear God since You have reconciled us to Yourself through Jesus, we acknowledge that You have given to us the wonderful ministry of reconciliation. Help us to grasp the importance and opportunity of this privilege and truly be Your ambassadors of the “good news” of Christ Jesus every day that we live. Lord, as we ask You for a real Pentecostal revival, we beseech You for prevailing unity and for Spirit-purposed direction for our church and for our nations.
